Small tree or shrub, 0.3-4 m high, leaflets 1-7 pairs; petals 11-15 mm long, pubescent dorsally; seeds dull black. Fl. yellow, Mar to Dec. Red sand, loam, clay, skeletal & stony soils, alluvium. Sandplains, sand dunes, granite outcrops, creek beds, rocky hills, breakaways.
