Spiny shrub or climber, 0.5-3 m high. Fl. white/cream-yellow, Jun or Aug to Oct. Sand, red clay, basalt. Coastal plains & dunes, scree slopes.
Scientific Description
Tree, spines present; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 20-80 mm long, 20-45 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers; pedicels 1-2.5 mm long; calyx present, 0.5-1 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; corolla yellow or white or cream, petals three, 2.5-4 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals. Flowers in June, August, September and October. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the North Kimberley and Dampierland IBRA region(s).
