Annual, herb or climber, to 1 m high. Fl. white/yellow/purple, Mar to Apr. Disturbed pindan, sandstone, basalt. Drainage depressions, scree edges, grasslands.
Scientific Description
Prostrate,spreading or scrambling or twining or climbing plants, herb. Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, compound, alternate, not continuous with stem, 75-150 mm long, glabrous, flat with flat margins; margins entire; tubercles absent, pinnately arranged, terminal leaflet present, stalked; pustules or glands absent. Stipules present but early deciduous ( only visible on youngest leaves ), 8-9.5 mm long, without glands, ribless. Pedicel present, 1.5-2 mm long, glabrous. Bracteoles present but early deciduous, 4-4.5 mm long, glabrous, not striate. Calyx 4-4.5 mm long, not accrescent, glabrous, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 10-11 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 10-10.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 8-9.5 mm long, not auriculate, keel 9-11 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate, glabrous. Stamens ten. Ovary stipitate, hairy or glandular; style 14-16 mm long, hairy or glandular towards the base, bearded (with a tuft of hairs at apex), flattened at apex. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), 35-65 mm long, 3-5 mm wide, stipitate, constricted between the seeds, flat or compressed, hairy, with simple hairs, not beaked. Flowers in March, April and May. Occurs in the Northern Botanical Province, in the Northern Kimberley, Victoria Bonaparte, Central Kimberley, Ord-Victorian-Plain and Dampierland IBRA regions.
