Upright, spreading shrub, 0.2-0.9(-1.3) m high. Fl. pink-white, Apr or Jul to Nov. Sand & gravel, sandy clay, laterite.

Scientific Description

Shrub, spines absent; branchlets verrucose (warty), +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 2.5-4 mm long, 1.5-2 mm wide, flat, the margins flat, verrucose (warty), glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers terminal. solitary; pedicels 3-6.5 mm long; calyx present, 1-2.5 mm long, verrucose (warty), glabrous; corolla pink or white or cream, petals five, 4-6 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 1.5-2 mm long, smooth, hairy; anthers 0.5-0.6 mm long, with an appendage. Flowers in April, July and November. Occurs in the Eremaean and South-West Botanical Province, in the Coolgardie, Mallee and Esperance IBRA region(s).
