Shrub, 0.4 m high. Fl. blue/pink, Aug or Oct. Gravel.
Scientific Description
Shrub, spines absent; branchlets smooth, without distinct raised glands, +/- cylindrical in cross-section, glabrous. Leaves alternate, simple, 5-10 mm long, 0.6-1 mm wide, flat, the margins revolute, smooth, without distinct raised glands, glabrous; stipular excrescences absent. Flowers in terminal, loose clusters (cymes or panicles); pedicels 3-4 mm long; calyx present, 5-5.5 mm long, smooth, without distinct raised glands, covered in hairs or scales, the hairs stellate (star-shaped); corolla pink or blue, petals five, 7-8.5 mm long, imbricate (overlapping), free, glabrous; stamens twice as many as petals, 3.5-4.2 mm long, smooth, ciliate (with a marginal fringe of hairs); anthers 1-1.6 mm long, with an appendage. Flowers in August and October. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Avon Wheatbelt and Jarrah Forest IBRA region(s).
