Tiny, tufted annual, herb, 0.02-0.2 m high, fibrous root; fruits on spreading stalks, pyramidale-linear, of 3 carpels, inside glabrous. Fl. green, Aug to Oct. Sand, clay, loam, laterite, limestone. Samphires, creeklines, swamps, clay flats prone to flooding, winter-wet flats.
