Clumped, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.2-1 m high. Fl. blue-cream, Jul to Oct. Sandy gravelly soils. Swampy areas, granite outcrops.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves alternate, 30-200 mm long, 0.5-1.5 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete or flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, incurved. Inflorescences without leaves, the flowers aggregated into distinct clusters, the clusters stalked, cream or blue, hairy; floral bracts 2.7-5 mm long, hairy. Perianth 5.5-10.5 mm long, irregular, glabrous; upper lip 2.5-4 mm long, glabrous; lower lip 0.6-1.5 mm long, glabrous. Nut 2-3 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
