Prostrate, rosetted herb, to 0.1 m high. Fl. yellow, May to Jul. Fine red earth, red clay. Flat sandplains, sandstone outcrops.
Scientific Description
Stems ribbed or unribbed. Leaves flat, 50-70 mm long, 10-20 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 5-9 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2-4 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla 10-12 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 3-5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 7-9 mm long, wings present on both sides, 1.7-2 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in May and June. Occurs in the Ord-Victoria Plains (OVP), Tanami (TAN) and Central Kimberly (CK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) and Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
