Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 30-75 mm long, 1.2-10 mm wide, Indumentum absent (leaves glabrous); margins entire or lobed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 10-20 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with glandular hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 1.5-2 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla yellow, 10-12 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 2.4-4.2 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 5.5-6.5 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.1-0.4 mm wide on the narrower side, 0.7-1 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 3.5-4 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in January, February, March, April, May and June. Occurs in the Northern Kimberly (NK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province. Conservation Code: Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
