Erect, lignotuberous shrub, 0.3-1.6 m high. Fl. yellow, Jan to Mar or May to Oct. White or grey sand, sometimes over laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs; branchlets glabrous, not ribbed, with a glaucous bloom. Leaves alternate, 30-180 mm long, glabrous; lamina terete, twice or more divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib. Inflorescences yellow. Perianth 36-55 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, radially symmetrical, glabrous, the lobes 10-20 mm long; anther appendage absent; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 1.8-2 mm long; pistil 22-29 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Flowers in February, May, June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL), Warren (WAR) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
