Erect herb, to 0.25 m high. Fl. yellow/yellow-brown, Jun or Sep. Sand. Near old water tank, near wells, seasonally inundated seepage areas.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 30-95 mm long, 3-12 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles present, 2-6.5 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels 4-15 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with simple hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 1-1.5 mm long, hairy, with sparse, glandular hairs. Corolla yellow, 10-11 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 2-2.5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 3.5-6 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.5-0.6 mm wide on the narrower side, 0.7-1 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6.5-7 mm long, rarely hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in June, July, August and September. Occurs in the Dampier land (DL) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province.
