Much-branched spreading shrub, 0.8-1.5 m high. Fl. white-cream, May or Jul to Sep. Alluvial sand, clay. In or near river beds among sandstone or granite rocks.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-2 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 10-40 mm long, 1 mm wide, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, white; pedicels 5-9 mm long. Perianth 3-5 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 0.5-1 mm long; pistil 5-7 mm long, white or pink, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, not viscid, dehiscent, 10-11 mm long. Flowers in May, June, July, August or September. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Carnarvon (CAR) or Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
