Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Stems ribbed. Leaves flat, 15-35 mm long, 5-10 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, simple hairs; margins toothed. Bracteoles present, 3-3.5 mm long, hairy, with simple hairs. Pedicel pedicellate, Pedicel length the pedicels (5-)8-9 mm long, Indumentum present, Hair type with absent hairs. Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 2.5-4 mm long, hairy, with dense, simple hairs. Corolla yellow, 13-20 mm long, auriculate, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, glabrous on the inside; central lobes 4-6 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 6.5-7 mm long, wing present on both sides and clearly unequal, 0.8-1.2 mm wide on the narrower side, 1-1.5 mm wide on the broader side. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 6-6.5 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules more than two. Flowers in August. Occurs in the Little Sandy Desert(LSD) IBRA Region(s), of the Eremaean (E) Botanical Province.
