Small tree or shrub (single-stemmed), 2-6(-12) m high. Fl. white-cream, May to Sep. Sandy soils over basalt, limestone or laterite. Plains, rocky outcrops, rocky sites, watercourse banks.
Scientific Description
Trees or Shrubs, 2-6 m high; branchlets glabrous, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 90-220 mm long, 30-55 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences terminal, white or cream; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 9-11 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 4-7 mm long; pistil 12-21 mm long, white or cream, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, viscid, dehiscent, 16-23 mm long. Flowers in May, June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the Northern (N) Botanical Province(s), in the Victoria Bonaparte (VB), Central Kimberley (CK) or Ord-Victoria Plains (OVP) IBRA subregion(s).
