Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 60-100 mm long, hairy or glabrous, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina subterete, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib; lobes 5-75 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, green, orange or red; pedicels 6-9 mm long. Perianth 12-16 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 3-5 mm long; pistil 25-30 mm long, red or purple, pollen presenter oblique, style hairy. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 8-10 mm long. Flowers in September, October or November. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) Botanical Province(s), in the Murchison (MUR) or Coolgardie (COO) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
