Erect, multi-stemmed shrub, to 1.7 m high. Fl. pink-red-orange, Aug to Dec. Grey-black clay loam, brown-black peaty sand, granite. Seasonally-wet areas, flats, swamps, creekline in valley floor, near lake, roadside drains.
