Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.3-0.6 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 20-45 mm long, 0.5-1 mm wide, hairy or glabrous, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina subterete or dipleural, entire. Inflorescences axillary, orange or red; pedicels 3-5 mm long. Perianth 7-9 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 1.5-2 mm long; pistil 6-8 mm long, orange or red, pollen presenter lateral, style hairy. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 10 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority One (P1).
