Tuberous, perennial, herb, to 0.15 m high, flowers sometimes with strong pungent cinnamon odour. Fl. blue/white, Aug to Sep. White, grey or brown sandy clay, red loam, quartzite, granite, limestone,. Winter-wet flats, clay flats, hillsides, breakaways, rises above salt lakes.
