Much-branched shrub, to 1.2 m high. Fl. white-cream, Jun to Jul. Skeletal soils on sandstone. In rock crevices on the walls of gorges.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 80-130 mm long, 3-8 mm wide, hairy, on the adaxial or abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, the margins flat. Inflorescences terminal, white; pedicels 4-5.5 mm long. Perianth 4-5 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 1-1.5 mm long; pistil 6-7.5 mm long, white, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, not viscid, dehiscent, 9-14 mm long. Flowers in April, May, June or July. Occurs in the Northern (N) Botanical Province(s), in the Ord-Victoria Plains (OVP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Two (P2).
