Scientific Description

Shrubs, 3-6 m high; branchlets glabrous, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 60-90 mm long, 10-30 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, divided only at the apex, entire or shallowly divided; lobes 6-15 mm long, 5-7 mm wide, the margins flat. Inflorescences terminal, pink or brown; pedicels 0.5-1 mm long. Perianth 8-10 mm long; tepals all free after flower opens, glabrous; ovary glabrous, stipitate, the stipe 2-3 mm long; pistil 12-15 mm long, pink, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, not viscid, dehiscent, 13.5-20 mm long. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Carnarvon (CAR), Yalgoo (YAL) or Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
