Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-1.5 m high; branchlets glabrous, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 10-30 mm long, 1-6 mm wide, hairy, on the abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, widest around the middle or clearly widest above the middle, entire, the margins revolute, exposing the lower surface of the leaf blade or enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences terminal, white or cream; pedicels 10-15 mm long. Perianth 4-5 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, stipitate, the stipe 0.5-1 mm long; pistil 6-9 mm long, white or cream, pollen presenter oblique, style hairy. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 10-13 mm long. Flowers in October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
