Low spreading shrub, 0.3-0.8 m high. Fl. red, Sep to Oct. Yellow or red sand. Sand dunes, sandplains.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.3-0.5 m high; branchlets hairy, not glaucous. Leaves alternate, 40-95 mm long, hairy, on the adaxial or abaxial surface, the hairs straight; lamina flat, twice or more divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib; lobes 5-40 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, the margins revolute, enclosing the lower surface of the leaf blade, forming a groove either side of the midvein. Inflorescences terminal, red or pink; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 7-9 mm long; tepals some joined and some free after flower opens, hairy, simple-hairy; ovary hairy, sessile; pistil 24-30 mm long, red, pollen presenter lateral or oblique, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, not viscid, dehiscent, 10-13 mm long. Flowers in September, October, November or December. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) Botanical Province(s), in the Murchison (MUR), Great Victoria Desert (GVD) or Coolgardie (COO) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
