Erect or rounded, rigid, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.7-2.5 m high. Fl. green-yellow/yellow, Aug to Nov. White or yellow sand, gravel.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.7-2.4 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 50-155 mm long, 5-15(-18) mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, yellow; pedicels 3-5 mm long. Perianth 10-13 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 17-23 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Follicles 17-20 mm long, 6-9 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 12-13 mm long (including wing), 4-5 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± equally down both lateral sides. Flowers in August, September, October or November. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
