Erect, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.5-2 m high. Fl. green-white/cream-yellow, May to Sep. White, grey or yellow/brown sand over laterite or granite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.3-2 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate or whorled, 25-115(-120) mm long, 2-8(-10) mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, green or yellow; pedicels 3.5-5 mm long. Perianth 18-22 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 25-30 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Follicles 20-27 mm long, 13-18 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 12-17 mm long (including wing), 6.5-11 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± equally down both lateral sides. Flowers in May, June, July, August or September. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
