Spindly, lignotuberous shrub, 1-2.5 m high. Fl. white & red/brown, Aug to Oct. Sand, clay, gravel, laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-2.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 55-140(-170) mm long, (7-)10-33(-40) mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle or clearly widest above the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, white; pedicels 6-8 mm long. Perianth 10-15 mm long, hairy; ovary glabrous; pistil 12-14 mm long, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles 35-40 mm long, 18-22 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 23-29 mm long (including wing), 10-13 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Jarrah Forest (JF) or Warren (WAR) IBRA subregion(s).
