Erect, rounded shrub, 0.5-2.6 m high. Fl. pink/cream, Sep to Oct. Deep yellow sand, laterite.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.9-2.6 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves alternate, 25-95 mm long, 3-11 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, white or pink; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Perianth 4-5 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 6-8 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 15-30 mm long, 9-14 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 8.5-13 mm long (including wing), 5-6 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± unequally down each lateral side. Flowers in September or October. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Coolgardie (COO), Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
