Erect, rounded, non-lignotuberous shrub, 1-4.5 m high. Fl. white/cream, Jul to Nov. Grey or pink/brown sand, rocky loam, clay.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-4.5 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 15-75(-85) mm long, 10-30 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest below the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, white or cream; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 5-6 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 6-10 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 20-31 mm long, 11-18 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 14-18 mm long (including wing), 6-7 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in July, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
