Erect, non-lignotuberous shrub or tree, 1.2-5 m high. Fl. red-brown, Sep to Dec. Quartzite soils. Among rocks.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-5 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves alternate, 35-130 mm long, 7-16(-25) mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, red; pedicels 2-2.5 mm long. Perianth 3-5 mm long, hairy; ovary glabrous; pistil 5-7 mm long, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles 45-55 mm long, 27-33 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 5-5.5 mm long (including wing), 2.7-3.3 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
