Spreading, lignotuberous shrub, 0.35-1.5 m high. Fl. white-cream/pink, Jun to Nov. Grey or yellow sand, often over laterite, gravel or granitic soils.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 0.5-1.2 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 20-85 mm long, (3-)4-11 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, pink; pedicels 4-6 mm long. Perianth 2-3 mm long, hairy; ovary glabrous; pistil 2-3 mm long, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles 17-33 mm long, 15-32 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 12-20 mm long (including wing), 7-8 mm wide, the wing continuous. Flowers in June, July, August, September, October or November. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
