Erect to spreading, non-lignotuberous shrub, 1-5 m high. Fl. white, Aug to Oct. Sandy or gravelly loam, sandy clay, laterite, granite. Wet depressions, flats, swampy areas.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-3 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 12-45(-48) mm long, 3-8 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, white or cream; pedicels 2-3 mm long. Perianth 3-4 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 5-6 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 12-20 mm long, 5-9 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 9.5-13 mm long (including wing), 4-5 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± unequally down each lateral side. Flowers in May, June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Jarrah Forest (JF), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
