Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.6-2 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves alternate, (40-)50-95(-112) mm long, (16-)18-42 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences axillary, pink; pedicels 5-5.5 mm long. Perianth 5-7 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 5-7 mm long, pollen presenter conical, style glabrous. Follicles 30-40 mm long, 15-20 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 28 mm long (including wing), the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
