Erect, non-lignotuberous shrub, 1-3 m high. Fl. white/cream-yellow, Jul to Sep. Grey or yellow/brown sand, loam, lateritic clay. Coastal sand dunes, quartzite or granite hills.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1.2-3 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves alternate, (15-)20-100 mm long, 7-25 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, once divided, pinnately divided, entire or shallowly divided. Inflorescences axillary, white or yellow; pedicels 6-8 mm long. Perianth 2.5-3.5 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 2.5-4 mm long, pollen presenter oblique, style glabrous. Follicles 25-35 mm long, 13-25 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed (22-)24 mm long (including wing), 8-10 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending ± unequally down each lateral side. Flowers in July, August or September. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Hampton (HAM), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
