Erect shrub, 1-3 m high. Fl. white-cream/pink-purple, May to Aug. White, yellow/red/brown sand, often with gravel, laterite.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-3 m high; branchlets glabrous or hairy. Leaves alternate, 30-120(-150) mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete, entire. Inflorescences axillary or terminal, pink; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 5-6 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 10-13.5 mm long, pollen presenter erect, style glabrous. Follicles 14-18 mm long, 7-9 mm wide, corky tetrahedral projections (on external surfaces of fruit) absent; seed 10.5-14 mm long (including wing), 4-6 mm wide, the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in May, June, July or August. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Murchison (MUR), Coolgardie (COO), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
