Erect, spreading, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.8-3 m high. Fl. red/pink & white, May to Aug. Gravelly lateritic soils, rocky sand over sandstone, ironstone or granite. Rocky hills.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 2-3 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves alternate, 15-60 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, glabrous; lamina terete, entire. Inflorescences axillary, pink; pedicels 3-4 mm long. Perianth 6-9 mm long, glabrous; ovary glabrous; pistil 15-22 mm long, pollen presenter lateral, style glabrous. Follicles 22-35 mm long, 14-18 mm wide; seed 13-22 mm long (including wing), the wing discontinuous, marginal, extending down one lateral side only. Flowers in May, June, July or August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
