Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 15-90 mm long, 5-10 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, clearly widest above the middle, entire. Inflorescences not viscid, pink or purple. Perianth 25-38 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy at the apex only; pistil 30-40 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 5-6.5 mm long, the brush 1.5-2.7 mm long. Cone with deciduous scales, 8-10 mm long. Flowers in July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA), Avon Wheatbelt (AW), Jarrah Forest (JF), Warren (WAR) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s).
