Erect, much-branched, non-lignotuberous shrub, 0.9-3 m high. Fl. pink-red-purple, Aug to Dec. Stony sandy soils on sandstone, quartzite or schistose rocks. Rocky slopes & summits of hills.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 60-130 mm long, 20-40 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire. Inflorescences not viscid, pink or purple. Perianth 23-30 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy at the apex only; pistil 23-30 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 4.5-5.2 mm long, the brush 2.5-3.5 mm long. Cone with deciduous scales, 40-45 mm long. Flowers in August, September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Mallee (MAL) or Esperance Plains (ESP) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Four (P4).
