Sprawling to erect, lignotuberous shrub, 0.2-1(-1.5) m high. Fl. pink, Aug to Oct. White, grey or brown sand over laterite, often with gravel. Hillsides, flats.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1.5 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 25-90 mm long, 2-7 mm wide, hairy; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire. Inflorescences not viscid, pink. Perianth 20-24 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 20-25 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, hairy, 3-4.5 mm long, the brush 2-4 mm long. Cone with deciduous scales, 23-25 mm long. Flowers in August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
