Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.3-1 m high; branchlets hairy, not ribbed. Leaves alternate, 8-15 mm long, 2-4 mm wide, glabrous; lamina flat, widest around the middle, entire, scabrous, the margins flat; apex pungent. Inflorescences yellow; pedicels 2-3 mm long, hairy or glabrous. Perianth 7-9 mm long, radially symmetrical, glabrous; anther appendage absent; ovary glabrous; pistil 9-11 mm long. Flowers in September, October, November or December. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
