Erect, open shrub, 0.5-2 m high. Fl. pink & other/white, Jun to Oct. Loam, sand, laterite, shallow granitic soils. Hillsides, granite outcrops.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 1-2 m high; branchlets hairy, with straight hairs. Leaves alternate, 15-20 mm long, glabrous; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 8 points or lobes; distance from base of leaf to lowest lobe 6-15 mm. Inflorescences not viscid, pink or grey. Perianth 17-25 mm long, hairy, the limb apex hairy all over; pistil 18-26 mm long; pollen presenter not fusiform, glabrous, 4-6 mm long, the brush 1-1.5 mm long. Cone with persistent scales, 11-14 mm long. Flowers in June, July, August, September or October. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
