Erect, spreading shrub, to 1.2 m high. Fl. yellow, Sep to Nov. Sand, laterite. Among hills.
Scientific Description
Erect, shrub, spindly shrub (broom-like). Stems terete, not spiny, hairy; pustules or glands absent. Leaves or phylloclades clearly present, simple, opposite or whorled, not continuous with stem, 5-10 mm long, 0.8-1 mm wide, hairy, with simple hairs, flat with recurved margins or revolute; margins entire; tubercles absent; pustules or glands absent. Stipules apparently absent even from the youngest leaves. Pedicel present, 4-4.2 mm long, hairy. Bracteoles present and persistent, 1.6-1.8 mm long, hairy, not striate. Calyx 9-10 mm long, not accrescent, hairy, with simple hairs, ribless; pustules or glands absent. Corolla 10-12 mm long, uniformly coloured, yellow; claws present; standard 9-10.5 mm long, glabrous, not auriculate, wings 7-8 mm long, not auriculate, keel 8-9.2 mm long, not beaked, not auriculate. Stamens ten; anthers 1.2-1.5 mm long, at two different levels (filaments alternately long and short); filaments free (or united at the very base), 5-7 mm long. Ovary stipitate, glabrous; style 8-10 mm long, glabrous, not bearded, terete. Fruit dehiscent (a pod or follicle), stipitate, not constricted between the seeds, round in cross-section, not beaked. Flowers in September, October and November. Occurs in the South-West Botanical Province, in the Avon Wheatbelt IBRA regions. Conservation Code Priority Three (P3).
