Rhizomatous, perennial, herb or (fern), 0.1-0.35 m high, frond 2-4-pinnate; stipe reddish-brown, hard, glossy; sori marginal in notches, reniform. Sandy clay, loam, lateritic clay gravel. Damp clay banks or among rocks in sclerophyll forests.
