Service Notice

The Western Australian Herbarium’s collections management system, WAHerb, and DBCA’s taxonomic names application, WACensus, have been set to read-only mode since 1 October 2025. Recent taxonomic changes are not reflected in Florabase, herbarium collections, or in the census. We are hoping to be able to reinstate services around December 15; we will provide an update at that time.

The notice period started at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 1 October 2025 +08:00 and will end at 12:00 pm on Monday, 15 December 2025 +08:00.

Scientific Description

Stems unribbed. Leaves flat, 30-60 mm long, 7-10 mm wide, Indumentum present, with dense, absent hairs; margins entire or toothed. Bracteoles absent. Pedicel absent (flowers sessile). Calyx lobes present, Calyx length 4-6 mm long, hairy, with sparse, simple hairs. Corolla white, 9-11 mm long, without auricles, not spurred, hairy on the outside, with sparse, simple hairs, hairy on the inside; central lobes 3-5 mm long, with wings; outer lobes 3-5.5 mm long, wings present on both sides, 0.2-0.4 mm wide. Anthers free. Ovary inferior, not gibbose; style 8-10 mm long, hairy; indusium single, hairy; ovules one or two. Occurs in the Northern Kimberly (NK) IBRA Region(s), of the Northern (N) Botanical Province.
