Rosetted perennial, herb, 0.15-0.55 m high, Leaves spreading, narrowly oblanceolate, 2-9 cm long, 1-4 mm wide, apex subacute, margin entire, glabrous. Scape glabrous at base, glandular along inflorescence axis. Inflorescence racemose. Fl. purple, Sep to Oct. Sand over limestone or laterite. Sandplain, hillslopes. Heath, shrubland.
