Erect annual, herb, to 0.8 m high. Fl. yellow, Apr to Oct. Grey, brown or yellow sand, red sandy or clayey loams, saline sandy clay, ironstone, granite, limestone, calcarite. Ephemeral lakes and other water sources, salt lakes, samphire flats.
