Erect perennial, herb, 0.25-0.7 m high. Fl. pink-white, Feb to Jun. Sandy soils. Sand dunes.
Scientific Description
Annuals, stems several, more or less erect, glabrescent, with nodose hairs. Leaves present, 10-100 mm long, 1-10 mm wide, glabrescent or glabrous, with nodose hairs; basal rosette absent; cauline leaves alternate. Spikes white or pink, ovoid or cylindrical, solitary or clustered, with densely arranged flowers. Bracts (1.3-)1.5-1.8(-2) mm long, colourless, glabrous or hairy, awned or mucronate, with a prominent midrib. Bracteoles (1.4-)1.5-1.8(-2) mm long, colourless, glabrous or hairy, not awned or mucronate, with an obscure midrib. Outer tepals 2-3.8(-4) mm long, entire. Inner tepals 1.9-3.7(-3.9) mm long, glabrous within. Style 1.4-1.6(-1.9) mm long, straight, centrally fixed to ovary. Seeds 1.1-1.3 mm long, glossy, brown. Distribution: Northern and Eremaean Botanical Region; IBRA regions: Central Kimberley, Dampierland.
