Rounded or funnel-shaped, gnarled tree or shrub, to 4 m high, bark grey, fibrous, longitudinally fissured,; phyllodes silvery when young, dark green when mature with resinous light-red margins; pods densely hairy. Red-brown sand, banded ironstone, laterite. Slopes, hillsides.
