Fibrous-rooted perennial, herb, to 0.2 m high, clump-forming stock giving rise to one or more leafy rosettes; inflorescence with woolly hairs. Fl. white-pink, Aug or Oct or Jan to Apr. Sandy soils, often over basalt. Damp areas.
