Erect shrub, 1-4 m high, bark smooth, mottled, pinkish-grey. Skeletal,shallow red-brown loam, sandy loams, clayey sand, laterite, granite. Rocky sites, sand ridges, sandplains, gently inclined to moerately steep footslopes, hillslopes and crests.
Scientific Description
Shrubs, 1-4 m high; branchlets hairy, not ribbed. Leaves alternate, 40-90 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, hairy or glabrous; lamina terete, more or less the same width throughout, entire, smooth; apex pungent. Inflorescences yellow; pedicels 7 mm long, hairy. Perianth 13-20 mm long, radially symmetrical, hairy, the hairs appressed; anther appendage present, 1-1.2 mm long; ovary glabrous; pistil 9-10 mm long. Flowers in November. Occurs in the Eremaean (ER) or South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Yalgoo (YAL), Murchison (MUR), Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s).
