Prostrate, lignotuberous shrub, to 0.2 m high. Fl. yellow-cream-pink, Jun to Sep. Sandy gravelly soils over laterite.

Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.30-0.40 m high; branchlets glabrous. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 150-280 mm long, 3-9 mm wide, hairy; petiole 10-30 mm long; lamina flat, once divided, pinnately divided, divided to the midrib, with 50-85 lobes on each side, the margins revolute. Inflorescences pubescent (with soft, straight, erect hairs), yellow or purple; innermost bracts 25-27 mm long, hairy. Perianth 28-35 mm long, hairy, all over, limb apex hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), without awns; pistil 38-41 mm long, curved, style glabrous. Follicles glabrous, obovate, 12-15 mm long. Flowers in June, July or August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS), Swan Coastal Plain (SWA) or Jarrah Forest (JF) IBRA subregion(s).
