Scientific Description

Shrubs, 0.5-1 m high; branchlets hairy. Leaves petiolate, alternate, 45-85 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, hairy; petiole 2-5 mm long; lamina flat, more or less the same width throughout, entire, the margins revolute. Inflorescences hirsute (with long, rough and coarse hairs), pink; innermost bracts 30-45 mm long, hairy. Perianth 26-30 mm long, glabrous, without awns; pistil 25-30 mm long, straight, style glabrous. Follicles hairy, tomentose (with matted or tangled, soft, woolly hairs), obovate, 24-25 mm long. Flowers in July or August. Occurs in the South-west (SW) Botanical Province(s), in the Geraldton Sandplains (GS) or Avon Wheatbelt (AW) IBRA subregion(s). : Conservation code Priority Three (P3).
